What is the pulse signal output by the turbine flowmeter? Does it have to be amplified by an amplifier circuit and then shaped into a stable square wave pulse signal?
The turbine flowmeter outputs a pulse signal whose frequency is proportional to the turbine speed, that is, to the flow rate. As long as the flow rate is stable, a stable square wave pulse signal can be output. However, considering whether external interference, signal level matching, rising edge and falling edge are fast enough for measuring digital circuits, it is suggested to add shaping circuits. If the levels match, the Schmitt trigger is usually enough.
