There is new news about the Shenzhou 12 that everyone is most concerned about. The Shenzhou 12 astronaut flight crew consists of three astronauts, namely Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, and Tang Hongbo. Among them, Nie Haisheng Serve as commanding officer. The backup astronauts are Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu.
It is not surprising that Nie Haisheng serves as the commander of Shenzhou 12. He was born in 1964 and has carried out many space missions, including Shenzhou 6 and Shenzhou 10. He served as the commander of the Shenzhou-10 mission.
Liu Boming was also one of the first astronauts and carried out a space mission.
Tang Hongbo is my country's second batch of astronauts. He has not yet carried out a space mission and was selected as a backup astronaut for the Shenzhou-11 mission.
This list is different from the previously reported list of three astronauts on the flight crew: Nie Haisheng, Deng Qingming and Ye Guangfu. The backup astronauts are Liu Boming and Chen. Dong and Zhang Lu.
It is worth noting that Yang Liwei, deputy chief designer of my country's manned spaceflight project, made it clear in an interview: There are no female astronauts on Shenzhou-12, but there are female astronauts among the backup astronauts. figure, what on earth is going on?
16 astronauts
Now our country has two batches of astronauts. The first batch of astronauts has 14 people, including the ones we are most familiar with. Among them, five astronauts who have not carried out space missions, including Yang Liwei, Nie Haisheng, and Liu Boming, have retired, leaving only nine astronauts. Among these nine astronauts, 8 have carried out space missions, and only Deng Qingming has not yet carried out a mission.
The second batch of astronauts consisted of 7 people, including two female astronauts: Liu Yang and Wang Yaping. So far, both female astronauts have performed missions.
In order to ensure the successful launch of Shenzhou-12, all 16 active astronauts in my country’s first and second batches participated in relevant training and participated in the entire process. Even Yang Liwei himself participated in the training, even if the chance of performing a flight mission was slim.
The same is true for female astronauts. Although there are no plans for female astronauts on Shenzhou-12, our two female astronauts also participated in the mission throughout the mission, even as backup.
During the astronaut training, the organization selected the best of the 16 astronauts and selected 3 astronauts and 3 backup astronauts. The remaining astronauts were backups.
In this list of astronauts, it is a pity that one astronaut failed to be selected. He is Deng Qingming, the only one among my country's first batch of astronauts who is in service but has never performed a mission. What you need to know is that even if he has not carried out a space mission, the training he received is no less intense than that of astronauts who have carried out missions, but he has never received flowers and applause like the astronauts who have carried out missions.
Deng Qingming is currently 55 years old. He missed the Shenzhou 12 mission and is not sure whether he will be selected for the Shenzhou 13 mission three months later.
The mission of the three astronauts
The Shenzhou-12 manned mission is the first manned mission in the space station phase of our country. The three astronauts taking the Shenzhou-12 will Carry out autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking with the Tianhe core module. After the docking is completed, the Shenzhou 12 spacecraft will form a combination with the Tianhe core module and the Tianzhou 2 cargo spacecraft. In the next three months, astronauts will be in the Tianhe core The cabin completes tasks such as extravehicular activities, extravehicular operations, regeneration and life support, and space material supply.
After research and decision by the General Headquarters, Shenzhou 12 will be launched at 9:22 on June 17. In order to ensure communication between the ground and the sky, the astronauts will implement a synchronous work and rest system between the sky and the earth. After the three-month mission is completed, the three astronauts will return to the Dongfeng landing site in the spacecraft return capsule.
Our country is now in the construction stage of the space station, and there will be multiple launch missions this year and next. Although the three astronauts will return to Earth after completing their three-month space mission, at the same time, our country will launch Tianzhou-3 and Shenzhou-13 one after another. It is also composed of 3 astronauts, except that the 3 astronauts of Shenzhou 13 will stay in the Tianhe core module for 6 months. After that, all the astronauts will carry out long-term missions of 6 months.
The third batch of astronauts
The expected lifespan of our country’s space station is 10 years, or even higher. It is expected that three astronauts will carry out space missions every six months, and the demand for astronauts is very high. However, our country currently has only 16 astronauts in service who are capable of flying, and the first batch of astronauts are relatively old, mostly around 55 years old. So how to solve the high demand for astronauts on our country’s space station?
First of all, the first and second batch of astronauts are still the main force. In order to ensure that every mission is foolproof, the first and second batch of astronauts must be ready to fly at any time. The state cannot be relaxed for a moment.
Secondly, in order to meet the needs of our country’s space station for astronauts, our country has selected the third batch of astronauts, with 18 in one batch.
Different from the first and second batches of astronauts who were selected from pilots, the third batch of astronauts is mainly composed of air force pilots, scientists and engineers from scientific research institutes, and experts from scientific research units. They are mainly responsible for operating the space station. stage of flight preparation.
It’s just that the third batch of astronauts still need to go through 3-4 years of periodic basic training before they can have the ability to carry out flight missions. Now the third batch of astronauts have just started training and are temporarily unable to fly in space. flight mission.
