First, multiple strains are entangled together.
Select multiple Podocarpus seedlings with uniform thickness and twist them together like a rope. After several years of growth, they will form a whole, greatly shortening the molding time. This method usually selects three or more Podocarpus seedlings and screws them together. When operating, first put the bottoms of multiple devices together. For the roots that affect the fit, they can be cut off appropriately and tied tightly with soft cloth strips. Then a plurality of plants are wound together like a rope, and wrapped with cloth strips while winding, so that the plants are closely attached together. Finally, the main body is wrapped with metal wire with appropriate thickness for modeling. Usually, the distortion of many plants is suitable for making cliff-like, oblique dry, curved dry and other shapes. If conditions permit, it can be cultured for one to two years after wringing, and the effect will be better.
Second, the change of joint species.
1. For ordinary old piles used as rootstocks to grow vigorously, it is best that the first and second branches are basically in place, and the shapes of roots and stems have begun to take shape. Keep the branches that need to be grafted, because the grafted varieties only grow slowly, so store the branches at all levels in advance.
2. The grafting time is usually before the spring germination and the autumn growth period. The specific time will vary from region to region. The approximate time is usually March and April when the sap is about to germinate in spring, or September in autumn.
3. Select excellent Podocarpus microphylla varieties, such as Nantong Paulownia varieties, use semi-lignified shoots as scions, and change the branches of the whole plant. Scions should be used as needed, and grafting techniques should be skilled. If it is later found that there are withered joints, you can continue to repair them.
Third, high-pressure replication.
Through our introduction, I believe everyone has a deeper understanding of the production method of Luohansong bonsai.
