1, sowing and breeding
Poplar seeds are small, and the capsules will crack when they mature, so the seeds are collected from cutting ears or ground. Seeds are easy to lose germination ability, so they should be sown with the harvest. Sowing seedlings on sandy loam soil containing humus.
2. Cutting
(1) Select high-quality seed strips.
Select annual cutting seedlings, and the middle and lower parts of the first-class seedlings and the second-class seedlings are suitable as seed belts. Third-grade seedlings can not be used as second-grade seedlings, and the parts with poor lignification at the tip and seedlings with pests and diseases can not be used as seed belts;
(2) Chip and processing
The cutting length is 1 6cm-18cm, and the bud spacing is1cm. Cut the cuttings, bind them, and soak them in clear water to ensure that the cuttings do not lose water.
Plant rows of cuttings on the land covered with film, and then water them for germination. When the temperature reaches 15~22 degrees, poplar trees will germinate quickly, and when the seedlings grow to 40 cm, the first fertilization will be carried out. At 80 cm, apply fertilizer for the second time, sprinkle compound fertilizer each time, and then irrigate. There are 3500 ~ 4200 seedlings per mu, which can grow 3 meters high and have a diameter of 1.5 ~ 2.2 cm.
