Method for planting mulberry fruit trees
Mulberry is suitable for growing in loose and breathable soil with strong drainage. When planting mulberry, we can choose loose and fertile loessial soil or sandy soil rich in organic matter as the cultivation substrate. Before planting, it is necessary to add mixed base fertilizer to the soil, so that mulberry trees can thrive.
Before planting mulberry trees, saplings must be properly treated. Xu selects seedlings that are robust and free from pests and diseases, digs them out of the former soil, cleans the soil attached to the roots, prunes the slender roots with sterilized sharp scissors, and then soaks mulberry trees in carbendazim solution for 30 minutes before planting.
When planting mulberry trees, you should dig a deep pit in the soil and then fill it with water. After the soil absorbs all the water, plant mulberry trees in the soil, cover the roots with appropriate amount of fine soil and compact them. After planting, you can water the mulberry trees again to make the soil slightly moist.
In the later management process, it is necessary to observe the growth state of mulberry seedlings and find that mulberry trees have grown new leaves or buds, indicating that mulberry trees have resumed growth. At this time, diluted compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium can be poured to accelerate the growth of mulberry and improve the yield and quality.
