1. In spring (mid-late March in southern Shandong), about one week before rootstocks germinate, fruit trees adopt top single bud abdominal incision or skin grafting, with high survival rate and strong growth potential.
2. It is best to collect grafting branches about half a month before germination, and bury them about 30 cm underground (or put them on the top of the refrigerator) for preservation.
3. Before changing the top grafting, the tree should be completely pruned to remove redundant branches. Adult fruit trees should keep about 15-20 grafting sites, and the distance between them is about 15 cm.
4. The grafting speed should be fast, the cambium should be aligned and the dressing should be tight.
5. Wipe off the new buds on the rootstock in time after grafting, and concentrate nutrition for the bud growth.
6. When the grafted new shoots grow to about 30 cm, help the pillars to break the wind; When the new tip of the upright angle grows to about 20 cm, it will pick the core and promote branching.
7. Unbind about 2 months after grafting in spring to prevent unbinding too late. The plastic strip will tie the new tip into the shape of a bee waist, which is easily blown off by the wind.
