The service content and doctor level of special needs clinics and general clinics may be different. For example, special needs clinics often provide more convenient and comfortable services, including advance appointment, exclusive access, high-level doctors and so on.

However, the state has clear provisions on the charging standards for special needs services in public hospitals. The registration fee and service fee of special outpatient service in public hospitals should be within the scope of medical insurance payment, and shall not exceed the general outpatient service fee. In addition, the proportion of special needs services provided by public hospitals shall not exceed 10% of all medical services.
