Eyes jumping up and down, left and right, respectively represent the precursor of "emotions". In fact, there are many reasons for eyelid jump, including cold virus, brain injury, hemangioma compression, calcium imbalance and so on. These factors will lead to eyelid jump, so eyelid jump has nothing to do with good or bad luck.

"Lentivirus is the most common cause of eyelid beating. Lu Junxian, an ophthalmologist, said that at least 70% of patients with eyelid jumping in clinic are infected by virus. Basically, although the toxicity of eyelid jump caused by virus is not high, the virus generally exists in air or soil, and even the virus in soil may volatilize into the air. Weak resistance and large amount of virus will cause eyelid jump, especially when the resistance is low, the virus is most likely to invade and cause eyelid jump.

There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves in the brain, of which the seventh opposite nerve controls facial expressions, and the third pair of oculomotor nerve opens around the eyes of the palm and the eyelids close. Once these two nerves are infected locally by the virus, the mouth will be crooked and it will be difficult to close the eyes. In fact, there are orbicularis oculi muscle and levator palpebrae superioris muscle in human eyelids, which are controlled by the seventh and third pairs of cranial nerves respectively. The orbicularis oculi muscle is shaped like a wheel and surrounds the eye. When it contracts, the eyelids close. This orbicularis oculi muscle is dominated by the facial nerve (the seventh pair of cranial nerves). Another eyelid muscle is levator palpebrae superioris, which will open when contracted. This muscle is dominated by the oculomotor nerve (the third pair of cranial nerves). Among the two kinds of muscle tissues of eyelid, orbicularis oculi plays an important role in protecting eyeball. By constantly closing, the cornea can be lubricated and cleaned, and a protective response can be made to the external * * * *.

After a cold, eyelids are the easiest to jump.

Lu Junxian said that eyelid jump is most likely to occur after a cold. If the brain nerve is compared to the trunk of a branch, after being infected by a virus such as a chronic virus, the peripheral nerves of the seventh and third pairs of brain nerves will be * *, causing eyelid jump. Basically, the eyelid jump caused by the virus is not easy for ordinary people to detect, and it can only be found if the number or proportion of eyelid jump is too high.

It is worth noting that chronic viruses exist in soil and air, and may directly float around eyelids. The virus may locally contract and twitch the muscles around the eyelids at the ends of the seventh and third pairs of cranial nerves. Usually a large number of viruses can cause eyelid pulsation, so the laboratory has been studying what kind of viruses can cause eyelid pulsation.

In addition, eyelid jump is also related to the abnormal discharge of the seventh and third pairs of nerves in the brain. Once the brain trunk is injured, it may affect the nerves and muscles around the eyelids, which may easily cause facial nerve paralysis, convulsions, and even mouth deviation and difficulty in closing eyes.

The orbicularis oculi muscle and levator palpebralis muscle are injured, and the eyelids will jump.

In addition to virus and brain stem injury, once the orbicularis oculi muscle and levator palpebralis muscle are injured, eyelid closure or abnormal beating will also be caused; When the orbicularis oculi muscle is injured, the eyelids will not close, and when the levator palpebrae superioris muscle is injured, the eyelids will not open. Observing the patients with facial paralysis, about half of them have no muscle function. Because facial muscles are closely related to the expression of subcutaneous tissue, once the muscles are injured and lose their function, they can't lift their facial expressions, which may cause the whole face to be expressionless and even wrinkles can't be squeezed out, just like wearing a mask, which looks quite unnatural.

Generally speaking, facial expression activities are mainly dominated by the seventh and third pairs of cranial nerves, which further dominate the corresponding facial muscles. Facial expressions above the eyebrows, such as the lines on the palms and heads of the seventh cranial nerve, are usually caused by a sudden increase in the number of chronic viruses or cold viruses, mainly affecting the seventh cranial nerve. People are prone to unnatural expressions above the eyebrows, crooked mouth and face, and wrinkles between the eyebrows, which are easy to be found abnormal.

The third pair of cranial nerves is mainly responsible for facial expressions around the eyes and eyelids. Once the third pair of cranial nerves is paralyzed for unknown reasons, or the neighboring blood vessels are blocked and bleeding due to high blood pressure, the pupils will be enlarged and cannot be narrowed, but most people are not easy to find out and cannot seek medical treatment in time.

Facial nerve spasm, one of the reasons for eyelid jump.

"Facial nerve spasm is also one of the reasons why eyelids keep jumping. Lu Junxian said that facial muscles naturally contract and relax under normal circumstances, but spasm means that muscle tension has exceeded the threshold (upper limit of normal value), that is, muscle tension is much greater than relaxation. Because facial muscle contraction must be through the action of calcium ions, once too much calcium ions are released in the body, it may cause excessive muscle contraction and cause facial muscle spasm.

On the contrary, when the calcium ion in the body is insufficient, the muscle contraction will not relax, just like many people swimming cramps, which are caused by calcium deficiency. Renal dialysis patients also need regular hemodialysis every week, which is easy to wash away calcium ions in the body and may make muscle contraction difficult to relax. Therefore, maintaining the balance of calcium ions in the body is one of the ways to avoid abnormal eyelid pulsation or muscle contraction.

Tumors, hemangiomas and eyelids will keep jumping.

Lu Junxian said that body tumor or hemangioma, OTA mother spot and other factors can also cause eyelid jump, especially brain tumor near the eyes, which is a common cause of abnormal eyelid jump. The main reason is that the position of tumor or hemangioma is too close to the orbit, which will compress the nerve and cause eyelid jumping or abnormal jumping. In addition, if Ota's mother plaque grows on the face, the deep plaque will swell and compress the peripheral nerves, which will also cause eyelid jump. As for accidents such as car accidents or falls, the formed blood clots may also oppress facial nerves, leading to eyelid jumping.

In view of the problem of eyelid jump caused by brain tumor, MRI can be accepted. If the tumor or blood clot is in the neck or chin, fine examination of the eye image can be performed, such as computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Methods to slow down beating failure

1, ice compress on the affected area: to rule out the abnormal eyelid pulsation caused by pathological factors, we can try to slow down muscle activity and nerve conduction speed by ice compress, and the virus will be less active after freezing, which should be helpful to relieve eyelid pulsation; But remember not to apply hot compress, so as not to accelerate metabolism, lead to increased nerve activity and active muscles, which may lead to more intense eyelid beating.

2. Vitamin B supplementation: It is recommended to take antioxidants or vitamin B at ordinary times, among which B6 and B 12 have nerve repair effects.

3, supplement Ginkgo biloba leaves: Ginkgo biloba leaves and other health foods can promote blood circulation, which may be helpful for people with poor blood circulation or poor nerve conduction caused by hypertension. However, some people who have cardiovascular problems and take anticoagulant drugs such as aspirin for a long time, it is best not to take Ginkgo biloba leaves at the same time, so as to avoid massive bleeding, blood flooding the brain and causing stroke, leading to nerve loss.

4. Calcium supplementation: Supplementing calcium tablets is a good way to relieve the problem of eyelid jump caused by excessive calcium ions, but it is necessary to undergo a physiological examination in neurology department in advance and draw blood to evaluate the supplement amount and consumption days of calcium tablets, so as to avoid overexertion and imbalance of calcium ions, leading to eyelid contraction.

5, eat more fruits and vegetables: eat more natural yellow-green fruits and vegetables, such as broccoli, sweet potatoes, pumpkins and other foods rich in lutein.

6, reduce the intake of * * * food: drink coffee for a long time, accumulate a lot of caffeine in the body or eat spicy pots, peppers and so on. These behaviors are likely to cause vasodilation, increase muscle activity, and more likely to cause eyelid jump. Although alcohol is not the main cause of eyelid jump, it is the driving force to induce eyelid jump. It is best to avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and chocolate.

Silver hair and young women are the most common.

The clinical case analysis of eyelid jumping is mostly for the elderly. Many people's eyelids jump to their mouths and their eyes are askew, which not only affects their beauty, but even interferes with their eyesight. Even they can't see clearly when walking or cycling, which seriously affects their daily lives. Some patients will also have eyelid jump, which will cause dry eye for a long time, resulting in red eyes and pain; Other patients suffer from dry eye for a long time, and their eyes lack tear lubrication, which leads to corneal skin damage, bacterial infection and corneal ulcer.
