Now I'm going to South Korea for plastic surgery. Why is there no department or institution to help safeguard rights when something goes wrong?
There are potential risks in plastic surgery in South China, such as poor language communication, asymmetric information, irregular or illegal intermediaries seeking to maximize the benefits of surgery, and difficulty in repairing surgery after plastic surgery failure. It is advised that patients should be cautious when going to Korea for plastic surgery. If overseas surgery is performed through a domestic intermediary, a contract should be signed with the domestic intermediary before going abroad to clarify the mechanism that the domestic intermediary will take full responsibility in case of disputes. Cao Wei, director of the Association Affairs Department, said that a legal consultation telephone number has been opened, and he is actively cooperating with law firms in some industries to provide legal aid to patients who have failed in plastic surgery and rights protection in Korea, so as to help them protect their rights reasonably and legally.
