How to prune young vines?
Young grape trees were in a low-yield stage five years ago after fixed-point planting, with vigorous tree length and many branches, which were prone to strong secondary branches and flowering and fruiting. It was a favorable period for cultivating main vines and fruiting branches for crown shaping.

In order to speed up the shaping speed and improve the early yield, in addition to pruning in winter, we can also make full use of the secondary branches in the growth period to prune and continuously cultivate the main vines, lateral vines and fruiting vines. The selection of target tree should consider variety characteristics, frame type and pruning method. Strive to use about 5 years to make the backbone branches basically shaped and the branches basically positioned, so as to achieve steady and rapid growth of output.
