What are the steps to fill the soil of the model?
AB earth-mending I bought 25 yuan from Tamiya ~ it's not expensive, it's very practical ~ it's not used to mend cracks, it's used to shape ~ I'll show you in detail ~AB earth-mending is also called epoxy earth-mending, in fact, epoxy earth-mending is the scientific name. Tell foreigners to say epoxy putty. We call it AB mending soil, and Taiwan Province province calls it A+B mending soil or two mending soil, which is a kind of mending soil for modeling. There are many brands of AB earth-mending, among which Tamiya Junshibo is the most common. Tamiya now has two kinds of smooth and fast hardening, Junshi has only one kind of light weight, Wave has three kinds of 80g light weight and two new 1 13.4g light weight and ultra-fine particle type. Waves are more expensive and heavier. Basically, few people have tried all the varieties, and it is not necessary. Speaking of these, there are three gimmicks in filling soil, one is particle, the other is quality, and the hardening speed. Civil use does not need to consider quality. The final surface treatment of particles is done with sandpaper, which does not need to be considered, just pay attention to the hardening time. For Tamiya rapid hardening which I have used and many people are using, it usually takes 1.5 hours to reach the best cutting state at room temperature, and it will completely harden after 3~4 hours, but this is not necessarily the case, which is greatly affected by temperature and humidity. Wave claims that 2-3 hours of hardening is actually similar, I guess. Then talk about usage. AB mending soil has two components, one is the main agent and the other is the hardening agent. No matter which brand of AB fills the soil, the two ingredients are mixed in equal proportion. Cut both sides the same length and stir by hand. After mixing, they are soft, just like kneading clay. After the two ingredients are completely mixed (the color is uniform, which is why AB patches must use different colors), they can be shaped and squeezed out. Then wait 1 to 1 for about half an hour before cutting. In fact, this step is not important in civil production. We basically extrude the rough shape, and then after it is completely hardened, we use a file and sandpaper to make the final shape. Cutting is basically a step used when making characters or science fiction. In addition, AB fill soil will be sticky just after mixing, which may affect the operation. At this time, you can stick a little water on your hands, not too much, just lubricate them.
