1, preliminary preparation

(2) Weigh the cat. This is a preparation for estimating the dosage of anesthetics and antibiotics. Cat owners can weigh themselves at home or in the hospital.
(3) Do not give the cat water or food 8- 12 hours in advance. In this way, the cat will not vomit because of injecting anesthetic, nor will it urinate during or after the operation (before waking up). It is also beneficial to the recovery of the cat's body after the anesthetic is eliminated.

2, surgery
(1) Fix the cat's limbs on the operating table. Scrape the hair around the scrotum with a sterile blade. If the hair on the scrotum is thin and difficult to scrape off with a blade, pull it out directly. Disinfect the surgical site several times with disinfectant.
(2) Cut a small mouth with a certain size on the scrotal wall with a scalpel and squeeze out the testicles.
(3) After the blood vessels and spermatic cord connecting the testes are clamped by hemostatic forceps, two testes are removed.
(4) Ligate the end of blood vessel and spermatic cord, and put it back into scrotum.
(5) Apply iodine tincture to the outer wall of scrotum. The operation is over.
3. After the operation.
(1) The owner of a cat should drop eye drops every 3-5 minutes before the cat wakes up. Because cats can't close their eyes in a lethargic state, and they can't secrete lubricant to moisten their eyeballs, eye drops must be given to prevent the lens of eyeballs from drying and shrinking.
(2) keep warm. Especially in cold weather, cats have weak circulation and low body temperature after anesthesia, so they need to cover some clothes and towels before waking up to avoid catching a cold.
(3) Pay attention to the cat's straight neck on the way to make it breathe smoothly.
(4) After returning home, put a mat on the ground and put the cat on the mat. The purpose is to ensure the safety of the cat when it wakes up and not fall from a height. The cat owner can't leave until the cat is completely free to move. (The waiting time for a cat to wake up is generally 1-3 hours)
(5) Don't enthusiastically let the cat just wake up to eat. Because the cat's stomach may still be under anesthesia at this time, it can't stand the stimulation of food, and the cat will vomit, which is not good for its recovery. It is best to put food such as cat food in the cat bowl 3 hours after the cat wakes up, without prompting the cat. The cat will follow the feeling and its body needs it.
(6) Because the removal of testicles will temporarily affect the hormone balance in cats, cats may become fond of eating more and sleeping more. Cat owners should be careful not to let cats overeat, and guide cats to exercise moderately to prevent weight gain.
