What is music therapy?
Since the 1940s, people have gradually regarded music as a medical treatment, which has a certain effect on the rehabilitation of some diseases, such as relieving pain and eliminating tension. This therapy is music therapy, also known as psychomusic therapy. In the early days, the way of listening was mostly adopted, and later it developed into both listening and active participation, including simple musical instrument operation training, selective music games, music and dance, etc. , and formed a comprehensive music activity.

In addition, the music vibration that human beings can feel through their bodies is called "music somatosensory vibration", that is, the somatosensory sound wave therapy system, and its maximum range is 16 ~ 20~50Hz, and the frequency range of 20~50Hz can give people the best safety and comfort.

Burn rehabilitation is an indispensable part of burn treatment. Good rehabilitation treatment can effectively prevent scar hyperplasia, reduce the dysfunction caused by scar hyperplasia and contracture, obviously reduce the number of plastic surgery in the later period and reduce the treatment cost. In the process of rehabilitation treatment, children with burns and scalds have great uncooperative, which is mainly related to their psychological characteristics, showing great fear of pain and distrust of rehabilitation teachers. Therefore, how to eliminate the fear of pain after burn and establish the trust relationship between children and rehabilitation teachers is the key factor affecting the effect of rehabilitation treatment. Children have the characteristics of strong curiosity, active participation and easy attention transfer. In clinical work, we found that music therapy, especially music therapy with game nature, is an indispensable treatment for burned children.

Through the analysis of this group of cases, we find that drumming therapy is a good means to mobilize children's awareness of active participation. In the process of drumming, it is easy for children to establish a good trust relationship with rehabilitation teachers. On this basis, rehabilitation teachers can carry out follow-up rehabilitation treatment such as manual pressing and passive training. At the same time, in the process of drumming, children can get active rehabilitation exercise in fine finger movements and big joint movements by constantly changing their postures and musical instruments. At the same time, the unity, cooperation and game atmosphere in the process of drumming can well alleviate children's fear of pain, divert their attention from the affected limb and improve their compliance with rehabilitation treatment. Of course, some children show good compliance with somatosensory sound wave therapy and simply recording and playing music, and such children are more likely to receive follow-up rehabilitation treatment.

To sum up, children of different ages have good perception of music. According to different children, we can choose drumming therapy, somatosensory sound wave therapy and simply recording and playing music to form an individualized treatment plan, with the ultimate goal of improving the effect of rehabilitation treatment. However, in the process of children's rehabilitation, there is a lack of effective objective quantitative indicators, which is also a problem that needs to be studied and solved in the next step.
