What are the misunderstandings in landscape design?
In terms of urban landscape design, there are some blind spots and misunderstandings in many cities in China. The general design scheme only meets the needs of urban aesthetics, and does not proceed from the reality of local climate and natural belt distribution; Unreasonable landscape design structure can not fully respect the laws of nature and make rational use of natural resources, which makes the environment that has run counter to nature more deformed. Therefore, urban landscape designers should change from the design misunderstanding of meeting the aesthetic needs of urban landscape planning to the design of respecting ecological functions and sustainable development needs, which is an unshirkable responsibility in future urban landscape design.

Looking at the development and construction of important cities in China in recent years, the misunderstandings of modern urban landscape design are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1 terrain

Some urban landscape designs have destroyed urban soil, and the ground hardening phenomenon is serious. Urban landscape design occupies a large area, and the surrounding surface of landscape sculpture hardens in a large area, which is a common phenomenon in urban construction in China. In many newly-built cities, dozens of meters of space around landscape sculptures are paved with square bricks or cement floors, and the non-main roads in cities have been built with wide cement floors. The phenomenon of urban ground hardening will have the following three adverse effects on our urban life: First, it will increase the intensity of urban noise and the reflection of sound waves, which will easily cause mental fatigue and reduce people's health index. Secondly, it is to enhance the urban heat island effect. Third, in the rainy season, the hardened ground makes the urban natural precipitation flow into the sewer along the hard surface, resulting in 80%~90% of the natural water resources being lost in vain. Because the urban groundwater can not be effectively replenished, the urban ground sinks, threatening the life safety of urban people.

At the same time, in landscape design, we can't adjust measures to local conditions, raze the highland vegetation landscape that originally belonged to nature, destroy the original natural features, destroy the ecological environment of the whole urban system, bring hidden dangers to the later urban development, and cause irreparable economic and ecological losses.

2 waterscape

Urban landscape design planning is not a simple pursuit of the so-called high-grade or unconventional image project. Urban landscape design needs to consider the unity of urban environmental protection and overall style, blindly flaunt the level of grades, and can not be considered to meet the urban landscape standards. A large area of water, high-grade, high-cost waterscape, to a certain extent, really enhance the style of the city. However, at present, the large-scale waterscape construction simply copies the concept, and does not reflect the connotation and culture of the concept in the actual design, which is contrary to the essential requirements of urban construction. It is an indisputable fact that most cities are seriously short of groundwater resources. Excessive construction of so-called ecological waterscape runs counter to the concept of sustainable development. The water area is too large, which makes the land not effectively used. In landscape design, only by controlling the water area within a certain range can we have due environmental benefits and enhance the overall value of the city.

3 greening

Urban greening is one of the important purposes of urban construction, and it is also an important means to improve the overall environment of the city and make the urban ecosystem run well. The meaning of the word "modern landscape" is completely different from the previous aesthetic concept which was equivalent to landscape in visual sense. It has become a multi-level complex structural system, and people understand the landscape more from the perspective of the functional structure of the ecosystem. However, at present, a considerable number of building activities are still beautified for the sake of beautification, and greening buildings have become the product of reflecting some people's aesthetic taste. There are a lot of pure surface beautification, which causes destructive design behavior to the urban ecological environment and the convenience of citizens. In recent years, in the large-scale urban reconstruction project, a large number of adult trees have been cut down, resulting in the reduction of street trees in green space. Decorative styles prevail in all kinds of new green spaces, and the beautification and pattern effect of green spaces are overemphasized. Pruned flowers, shrubs, lawns and plain sculptures occupy a lot of space, ignoring people's basic needs. Although this kind of urban green space relies heavily on manual maintenance and has a single species, its actual ecological benefits are extremely limited. In this case, the great danger of 1 is hidden in China's urban landscaping activities, that is, blindly looking for documents to create meanings and building garden cities with personal fantasies to guide large-scale garden construction activities. Although some cities put forward the concept of eco-city, they didn't really understand it ideologically. They don't manage the city as a whole ecosystem of 1, but still stay at the level of urban composition.

4 architecture

On the surface, luxurious landscape architecture is not in harmony with urban landscape planning and construction. In many cities, tall and magnificent landscape buildings occupy the main position of the city. Magnificent and tall buildings have increasingly become the representatives of their designers flaunting their personal styles or the personal achievements of some leaders. On the whole, the symbolic meaning of its rank is far greater than the actual meaning. The wind of imitation prevails, and once successful innovative works come out, they are copied and copied without restraint. This has led to many bad consequences in landscape design, such as no personality and lack of site characteristics; Form chaos; Lack of connotation, lack of humanistic elements and place spirit. Blind formal imitation often leads to high energy consumption and great waste of resources.

5 Liang Hua

In recent years, the night landscape construction in China has developed very rapidly. Generally speaking, it is worthy of recognition to make the city bright and beautiful, but in terms of energy and environment, night landscape construction must also be moderate or the effect will be counterproductive. The main function of night lighting is lighting, followed by beautification. A certain intensity of light will interfere with vehicles and pedestrians. Beautifying the night scene requires soft and warm lights. If it is too exciting and makes people feel uncomfortable, it will not achieve the beautification effect.

Recently, the construction of beautiful streets has mushroomed in some cities, and beautiful streets are being built everywhere, whether in commercial areas or living areas. Dr. Lu believes that night lighting should be designed on demand, not to make everything bright, the brighter the better. The bustling business district can properly light up the whole street, but the living area is unnecessary. Just illuminate where it should be. It's all on. Too bright, on the contrary, people lose quiet space and are hurt by light pollution.

6 excessive pursuit of renderings

The renderings are a fascinating soup and a panacea for poor design.

At present, there is a strange phenomenon. When the scheme is submitted, especially in the face of the decision maker who has the final decision, all the three-dimensional renderings are hung on the wall. In addition, there are exquisite pictures on the computer projection screen, as well as exquisite computer animation and wonderful light music. No wonder our leaders (or owners) were deeply moved. Pity those colleagues who can't come up with beautiful renderings, talk about his ingenious ideas on the floor plan of the gobbledygook, and hear the distinguished leaders (or owners) yawn. But when people are waiting for the fantasy effect on the screen to be realized in reality, they suddenly find that the scene is another general scene, and the feeling of disappointment and deception arises spontaneously. After winning the design task by violating the conventional design procedure, the excellent masters of renderings are at a loss, and the exaggerated beauty on renderings cannot be rooted in the real land at all. In the panic, they had to rely on the adjustment of the scene and sudden inspiration to realize the public's ideal-a whole set of poor designs was finally exposed.

From the above points, we can know that the root of the problem lies in the lack of environmental responsibility of designers, ignoring the current situation of the country and the needs of human nature. Make-up is not our job, what we pursue is fitness and health from the inside out. This requires designers to cultivate their own quality, always adhere to the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection, care for all life, take a clear-cut stand and plan scientifically.
