Pole forming
When cutting fragrant vines, branches are the main cuttings, lignified twigs are selected as cuttings, the base of which is cut off, treated once with rooting agent, and directly inserted into the prepared nutrient soil, keeping the basin soil moist, covering the base with fine soil, controlling the temperature above 20℃, and sprouting begins in about one month.

Flower friends who have fragrant vines at home must prune them so that the pruned branches can't be wasted. We can use them for cutting, and we can easily spread small saplings all over the garden without buying them. Even the smallest sapling can plant a big tree.

Method for cutting fragrant vines

1, cutting

It is easier to survive by choosing thick and semi-lignified branches as cuttings. I want to cut each branch into 2~3 buds, 2~3 buds and 2 leaves in each small section, with the lower end obliquely cut at 45 degrees and the upper end transversely cut. Dilute the rooting agent in the cuttings by 500 times and leave it for about 30 minutes.

The bottom material should be a mixture of loose and breathable perlite and vermiculite, watered slightly, put into the seedling cup, then insert the cuttings into the cuttings, dig a small pit and let the buds bury the soil.

Step 3 maintain

Put it in an environment with scattered light and ventilation, keep the temperature at about 20 degrees, and keep the soil slightly wet, otherwise don't excessively or blacken the poles, and it will take root in about 15 days.

After rooting, I suggest using some fermented nutrient solution, diluting it 500 times before watering it, which can make the root system more developed, the new buds grow faster, the vines climb faster and the flowering period is large and long.

Matters needing attention in cuttage of fragrant rattan

Xiangteng is not resistant to waterlogging, strong light and cold. Shading and warmth keeping measures should be taken in summer and winter. The vines should be trimmed and shaped during the growth period, and the compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be applied three times. After plants stop growing in winter, the amount of watering should be reduced and fertilization should be stopped.
