Taboo symptom
1. Children with systemic diseases such as hematological diseases are not suitable for surgery.
2. The cutting end of delayed tooth is still in alveolar bone.
Operating procedures and methods
1. Local cleaning and disinfection.
2. Local anesthesia.
3. Make two arc-shaped incisions on the lip and palate along the cutting end of the delayed tooth, and remove the spindle-shaped gingival flap between the two incisions to expose the cutting end of the tooth.
4. Apply 1% tincture of iodine locally, and press with gauze or cotton ball to stop bleeding.
Matters needing attention
1. Delayed teeth are far away from the crest of alveolar ridge or in bone, and the delayed eruption period is too long, so traction should be considered to help eruption.
2. To remove the spindle-shaped gingival flap at the cutting end, it is best to perfectly expose the cutting end of the tooth. Too narrow or too small will hinder eruption.
