Does gas cutting holes in thick steel plates affect the quality?

It is difficult to cut holes in a 5 cm steel plate with gas cutting. Especially small holes (holes smaller than 5 cm) should be said to be impossible to cut. It is possible to cut holes larger than 10 cm. But it also requires a gas-cutting master to be able to cut it out well.

Because the basic point of oxyacetylene gas cutting is to first heat the steel plate to a red-white color (that is, close to the level of melting), and it requires space on one side. Therefore, it is difficult to cut holes on a solid board, and it is even more difficult on a thick board.

To cut a larger hole in a thick plate, first cut through the steel plate at the center of the hole, and then extend to the edge of the hole.
