This disease is called congenital microtia, which is caused by embryonic hypoplasia. It is often accompanied by hypoplasia of external auditory canal, middle ear and hemifacial, and two treatment schemes can be used: staged ear reconstruction and one-time ear reconstruction. Each scheme has its own advantages and disadvantages. We think that the modeling effect of staged ear reconstruction is more reliable than that of primary ear reconstruction, but the latter has shorter treatment time and is more acceptable than the former, so both of them have their own advantages. In China, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital and Plastic Surgery Hospital of Chinese Academy of Sciences have achieved good results, and provincial hospitals have also developed related technologies.
