Why do Koreans want plastic surgery?
Why do Koreans love plastic surgery so much? Li Mingde, a plastic surgeon working in Jeong Ou Ting Dong, another famous cosmetic center in Seoul, pointed out that Koreans have high cheekbones, short chins and ugly faces, so facial plastic surgery in Korea is quite developed. In addition, Koreans have white skin and are prone to grow dark spots, so Koreans pay special attention to laser freckle removal. Any cosmetic clinic has three or five laser machines. Some people say that Korean girls need plastic surgery at least once before they can get married. In fact, the situation is not so exaggerated. A telephone survey conducted by a marriage agency in South Korea in March this year showed that among 448 unmarried women aged 20-30, 14.7% admitted that they had had plastic surgery. Among them, 22.7% people have received plastic surgery more than twice. However, it is an indisputable fact that cosmetic surgery is prevalent in South Korea. In the above telephone survey, 70% of the respondents have the intention to undergo plastic surgery.
