Yunqunshuo impression
The IT Quick Check Manual of the Red and Black List has been blocked, but Qunshuo (Qunshuo Software Development Co., Ltd.) is still one of the most controversial companies. 2009 was the most difficult year for Qunshuo, and the number of companies decreased rapidly due to layoffs and job hopping. After working in Qunshuo for one and a half years, in the summer of 2009, I left Qunshuo and came to Beijing with some friends to start a business and develop Sun Le. I haven't found time to write something for this company these months. I think it is necessary now, so I will make a record for my colleagues' reference and my life reference.
I entered Qunshuo Shanghai as an intern in the autumn of 2007. The technical and non-technical questions of the interview were probably 1: 1, because I was not in Shanghai at that time, and the telephone interview was conducted by technicians and HR respectively. Probably because I was an intern at that time, the technical problems were basic, and the English interview was not difficult (there will definitely be some self-introduction, so I probably need to prepare). In a non-technical interview, you can get a comprehensive understanding mainly by asking some things in your life.
There is more than one month of software testing training after joining the company. From the most basic point of view, it can be said that there will be no problem with a little computer foundation. Then they were assigned to the project team to start testing. After an average of 1 year, it will be transferred to another project team. The technology of each project may be different, and there is usually a training time of about one month before changing projects. Most of the projects come from abroad, and English is needed in most cases. Although communication with customers is usually conducted by team leaders, email and other communication methods are also inseparable from English.
Training: induction training is generally necessary, unless you are already very experienced, one to two months; It also needs training for a period of time, from one week to one month (usually training while working), aiming at the technical and domain knowledge needed by the project. Other company-wide technical training is generally of little use. In addition, there will be some corresponding training for positions such as product development manager and team leader, which is not clear.
Salary: the most concerned and sensitive issue. The salary of Qunshuo is not high, and people with the same experience are often higher than Qunshuo in other companies (compared with companies at the same level). The number of graduates is 3000-4000, rising slowly, squeezing the welfare of … four insurances and one gold. Of course, what I said above is that the salary is below 10000, but the salary of SSE (senior development engineer) or SDM (product development manager) is not clear.
Get along with colleagues: different companies have different cultures, and different projects of the same company will have different cultures. This culture radiates from high to low. My two project teams were very harmonious before. Colleagues often go out to travel and celebrate birthdays, and they are all familiar with each other. However, other project teams in the company are not clear, and it is said that some of them are indifferent.
Skilled man: About four years ago, when it came to Qunshuo, many people found it difficult to get in. At that time, there were few people in the company, and the interview requirements were very high. The professional questions about the skills in the resume were very in-depth. But in the last year or two, Qunshuo has indeed gone downhill. Skilled people have left a lot, and the interview of newcomers has become very easy. I feel that the technical quality of employees is not better than that of other companies.
Working hours: overtime work in Qunshuo is recognized, but through my observation and experience in Qunshuo for more than one year and my entrepreneurial experience in the next six months, the problem of overtime work is essentially the result of company culture and low work efficiency. Of course, my opinion may be one-sided, because I have only been in two project teams. In a word, I suggest my colleagues leave when they arrive. This task will never be completed. The more you do, the more you gain. The better way is to improve work efficiency. You won't get a big raise because you left late, and you won't get a little raise because you left early (at least it's unlikely). If you are burned to death because of this, there is no need for you to stay.
English environment: The complete English environment no longer exists. At present, English is only used in unavoidable places, such as customers making phone calls and writing emails. "All-English environment" is just a noun. Compared with other companies, I do practice English a little more, but I can't reach "all English" at all. It is said that a few years ago, all the communication between employees was in English, and now 80% is in Chinese.
Project level: This is not bad. At least the two I have done and what I have heard are very good. It is a good project abroad. But the disadvantage is that the division of labor is very fine, and there are fewer pieces for personal study. Of course, it also depends on your personal exploration and learning ability. Although the work content is often only a small part of the product, it is possible to understand the whole product.
Working environment: In Pudong Software Park, the environment is OK and comfortable. In order to improve the time utilization of employees, everyone has more than two computers. Indoor and outdoor environment is comfortable to work in, but it has no outstanding advantages. It feels good to take a nap every day, but taking a nap is also one of the reasons for working overtime.
About layoffs: any enterprise, especially small and medium-sized private enterprises and foreign enterprises, will attach importance to the development of the company and do some despicable things. Society is like this, and competition is like this. If you are laid off, it doesn't mean there is something wrong with your skills. You may just be a victim of a development strategy, so there is no need to complain, because complaining is useless. At this time, remember to use relevant laws and regulations to protect your rights and interests.
To sum up, I think the company is ok, but there is no difference between good and bad on the whole, and different people are relatively different. If you are a fresh graduate with learning as the main purpose, you can come in and work for a year or two before jumping ship (there is definitely the possibility of being fired halfway, which is related to the company's business); If you have two or three years of work experience, it is basically impossible to jump in and earn more money unless your skills are special and just what the company needs; If you have more work experience or are a technical person and want to come in as a senior engineer or development manager, it's hard to say. I don't know the salary and benefits at this level.
The above is an objective evaluation of this company. Personally, I am very grateful to Qunshuo. My college life is very depraved, and I have basically learned nothing. Most of the knowledge I need after work is now being trained and studied by the company. Although my salary hasn't risen at all, I have been studying and I feel not too crowded. In the summer of 2009, my classmates and I came to Beijing to start a business. After leaving this "parent company", I still miss my lovely colleagues. I hope everything goes well with them, and I also hope that my entrepreneurial product "Sunle. com" will become a successful product.
Supplement: I once asked an old IT colleague this question: "Why do so many people scold Qunshuo for deducting points every day in the red and black list, or are they not in the front 10?" He told me: "The world is as black as a crow".
I typed the above article word for word. Qunshuo is not a good company, nor is it bad. I suggest you try again and see if you can find something better. For experienced developers, salary and benefits are king.
