Video on how to manually insert and braid wire ropes

The video of how to manually insert and braid wire ropes is as follows:

Tools/raw materials: wire, gloves, hook.

1. First of all, the steel wire should be inserted in a crossing manner with one upper and lower wire. The steel wire rope has a fiber main core, and the rope core should be completely passed through with the first tail end of the first group of interspersed ones. Cut off the rope core.

2. If the steel wire rope has an independent metal wire strand core, it should be folded inward during the first set of insertions, then upwards, completely inserted, and inserted into the center of the braiding head after five complete insertions.

3. All subsequent threadings should be firmly tightened to be consistent with the center line of the wire rope. In order to make the plug-in part smooth and rounded, appropriate tools should be used for shaping.

4. The collar we use should match the diameter of the wire rope, so that the collar clip must be secure. This is a simple method.

The insertion length of the wire rope is generally stipulated to be greater than or equal to 20 to 25 times the diameter of the wire rope, but shall not be less than 300mm.

Be sure to measure the broken end length before inserting. Generally, the broken end length is 1.5 to 2 times the inserting length of the wire rope. It should be noted that the unbroken parts must be tightly wrapped with thin lead wire to prevent them from loosening after breaking. At the same time, after the broken ends are removed, the ends of each strand must be wrapped with electrical tape to prevent the ends of the strand wires from loosening. .
