I(A)=80×d(mm) d≤ 16mm (2)
I(A)=90×d(mm) d> 16mm (3)
For alloy steel, the welding current ratio is the value calculated by the above formula.
The welding current (600- 1500A) of short-period arc stud welder is related to the power supply and is fixed. Therefore, the welding energy only depends on the welding time.
2. The relationship between arc voltage and welding current is determined by the static and external characteristics of welding power supply. Arc voltage mainly depends on lifting height and welding current, and its value is generally 20-40V. When welding, the oil or grease on the surface of the workpiece will increase the arc voltage, and inert gas will decrease the arc voltage.
3. For flat welding (the welding plane of the workpiece is parallel to the ground plane), the welding time can be estimated by the following formula:
tw(s)=0.02×d(mm) d ≤ 12mm (4)
tw(s)=0.04×d(mm) d > 12mm (5)
For horizontal welding (the welding plane of the workpiece is perpendicular to the ground plane), the welding time should be reduced. The short-period welding time is less than 100ms, which depends not only on the diameter of stud welding head, but also on the current intensity.
