Is the coal business really so easy to do?

It has been two months since I have been involved in the coal business. I will write down some of my experiences for emergencies. A good memory is not as good as a bad pen! 1. In terms of price, first go to the transportation and sales company to understand the official contract price! At the same time, you can directly ask whether you can sign a contract and what procedures are required! If you can't sign a contract, go to various information departments or mining areas to learn about other people's signing prices! If the price given by the middleman feels very low, you should think more about it. Why is it so low? Is it because the middleman wants to defraud the middleman? Or is there no such coal at all? To borrow the words of the vice president of a coal transportation and marketing company, his price is basically the market price (contract price + signing fee), but we didn’t understand it! 2. In terms of contracts, generally speaking, if you find someone to sign on your behalf, it is best to pay as much coal as the signing fee! If you want to pay in advance, you can pay in installments. Don’t pay the signing fee all at once! This way both sides are more reliable! At the same time, consider how much your own transportation capacity is, and then decrease the amount, and sign like this! For example: if the estimated transport capacity is 50,000 tons, you must not directly sign for 50,000 tons. You can consider down to 30,000 tons or even lower! As far as I know from the shipping and marketing company, it’s mostly several thousand tons! At the same time, there are only a handful of ones with more than 10,000 tons! Only one of them pulls more than 100,000 tons a month (he is the total amount of several coal mines together)! Of course, I only learned about the situation in the shipping company for one day, just for reference! From this situation, it can be seen that everyone is not optimistic about transportation! 3. In terms of coal quality, this is mainly based on the official indicators marked by the transportation and marketing company, supplemented by taking coal samples from the warehouse in the mining area for testing! You should also pay attention to coal sampling: when sampling, because only flour coal and lump coal are sampled, this exists. For lump coal, only coal and no stones are taken. You can see it with your own eyes, and then break it open with a few stone-like pieces to check the situation. At the same time, Estimate the inventory of stones, whether there are a lot of stones in the coal! Generally speaking, each coal mine only has coal types announced by the transportation and marketing company. There will not be other coal mines in the mine due to a certain leader. For example: the transportation and marketing company announced that a certain mine only has raw coal and mixed coal. , then there will be no other type of coal! If so, think more about it! Did you hear it wrong, or was the middleman lying? At the same time, as for the stability of coal quality, I have only heard that the quality of engineering coal is unstable and unreliable, and there is a gambling nature! It depends on your luck! 4. In terms of transportation, it takes three to five days at the fastest for Lianshi to decide on a fleet, because the fleet boss has to go to the mining area to inspect the loading and transportation route environment. At the same time, generally there will not be many vehicles coming in the first week of transportation. The number of vehicles will slowly increase over the next few weeks! This is because neither the team boss nor the driver will bring a large team here just because they believe in one thing or another! They also need to make a few trips, and it feels more feasible, and they will follow up in large numbers only when they make a profit! At the same time, I arrived at the mining area and learned about the environment of the mining area, where coal was loaded, where my own coal was loaded, the loading situation, whether there was a need to queue, and the cost of the so-called green channel! And the feasibility of the green channel mentioned by the middleman! Is there someone to guide vehicles through the green channel 24 hours a day? It is recommended to ask more people about the actual situation of queuing and green channels on site! Drivers are concerned about: whether there is a queue for loading, how fast the loading is, whether there is a queue for unloading, and how fast the unloading is! And whether there are any various expenses, such as whether they need to pay for the green channel! 5. As for power plants, more about power plants are what I heard and are only for reference! As far as I know, the price of power plants in Henan is relatively low compared to that of the whole country. This is because Henan has local coal sources. At the same time, there are many coal screening yards in Henan. Because the market is saturated, naturally Henan has various coal sources. The price of the power plant is on the low side! Regarding the unloading situation of the power plant, it is best to go to the place where the power plant unloads trucks to understand the actual situation and whether there is a green unloading lane. If so, the feasibility of the green unloading lane must also be checked! It is recommended to inquire about the actual situation from the power plant management personnel or the driver unloading the truck! At the same time, understand whether there are any unloading fees for weighing the power plant and unloading the truck, etc.! Everything is based on what you hear with your ears, and what you see with your eyes is belief. Any information and resources should be thought about twice, think twice, and think twice!
