What is skin grafting?
(1) Precautions before operation

① No hemorrhagic diseases, active or progressive diseases of heart, lung, liver, kidney and other important organs, and patients with hypertension, diabetes or infectious diseases need surgery after their condition is controlled smoothly.

② Those who take steroid hormones and aspirin for a long time should stop taking them one week before the operation. Please consult the doctor concerned.

③ Please avoid menstrual period for female patients, and suspend the operation in the first trimester (3 months) and the third trimester (3 months).

④ Skin grafting requires skin from other parts of the patient, which may be abdomen, upper arm and thigh. Different degrees of scars may be left in the skin harvesting area.

⑤ Skin grafting is mainly used for large area tissue defect, and its main purpose is to cover the wound. Because there are differences in color and texture between the transplanted skin and the recipient area, there may be "patches" after operation, which will affect the appearance.

⑥ The skin grafting area and skin harvesting area are inconvenient to move within 2 weeks after operation, and the skin grafting at the joint needs plaster fixation. Please avoid important activities when making arrangements.

(2) Anesthesia methods

① Local anesthesia: local injection of anesthetic at the surgical site.

② Intravenous general anesthesia assistance: For patients with long operation time, many sites or poor pain tolerance, intravenous administration is needed without tracheal intubation.

(3) preoperative preparation

① Routine examination: blood routine, urine routine, coagulation four items, hepatitis C antibody, syphilis antibody, hepatitis B five items, liver and kidney function, fasting blood glucose and electrocardiogram.

② Patients under local anesthesia choose normal diet, while those assisted by intravenous general anesthesia choose fasting 6 hours before operation and water deprivation 4 hours.

③ Pay attention to the cleanliness of the operation area before operation, do not wear makeup, and thoroughly clean up the dander and dirt around the operation area.

(4) Precautions after operation

① Avoid water, force and rubbing the wound in the operation area.

② Avoid alcohol, tobacco, fish and shrimp within 1 week after operation.

③ Take antibiotics orally for 3 days to prevent infection, and take painkillers (such as Suomaitong tablets and tramadol) if necessary.

④ The skin graft area should be bandaged after operation, and the local area should not move for 2 weeks. If it causes inconvenience to life, please ask others for help.

⑤ If you feel unwell, such as severe pain, exudation or peculiar smell of packaging dressing, please contact a doctor immediately.

⑥ The stitches were removed 14 days after operation. If the healing is good, remove the stitches the next day and take a bath with water; Otherwise, please follow the doctor's advice; Individual patients with poor wound healing may need to change the dressing for several days.

⑦ There may be local spots in the skin graft area after operation, which will gradually recover after 1 ~ 2 months; With the passage of time, the texture and color of skin graft area may change, so it is necessary to carry out functional exercise in the joint activity area to prevent skin graft contracture.

Please contact the doctor for a follow-up visit after half a year.
