How to raise water hyacinth
Water hyacinth is cultivated in hydroponics, light and temperature conditions, root pruning and plastic surgery.

1, hydroponic

Water hyacinth can be cultivated by hydroponics. Select seedlings with good growth and no pests and diseases, cut off the damaged, rotten and aging parts of the roots, then soak them in carbendazim for 6 hours, then put the water hyacinth into a hydroponic container and add tap water for 24 hours.

2. Light and temperature conditions

Water hyacinth likes warm environment. In the process of cultivation, water hyacinth should be placed in a sunny place to allow plants to receive more than 6 hours of light for photosynthesis every day. Moreover, water hyacinth likes warmth, and the cultivation temperature should not be lower than 25 degrees, so as to avoid poor plant growth.

3. Root pruning and plastic surgery

Water hyacinth grows rapidly and has strong reproductive ability. During the cultivation period, it is necessary to constantly prune the parts of roots that are aging and infected with diseases, reduce the consumption of nutrients, improve the ornamental value of plants, and plant water hyacinth once every other year to avoid high planting density and easy breeding of diseases.

Treatment method of water hyacinth yellowing and withering

1, soil replacement

Water hyacinth is suitable for growing in loose and breathable soil. When cultivating water hyacinth, if the soil becomes hard and sticky, it will lead to poor root respiration and yellow and withered leaves of water hyacinth. Water hyacinth needs soil replacement, and loose and fertile sandy loam with good drainage and permeability can be used.

Step 2 cover up in time

When water hyacinth is cultivated, if the light is too strong, the plant will be sunburned, and the leaves of water hyacinth will turn yellow and dry. Shading measures should be taken for water hyacinth, which can be covered with shading net or moved to a ventilated semi-cool environment for maintenance, so that water hyacinth can grow healthily.

3. Control fertilization

When cultivating water hyacinth, if fertilization is too frequent, it will lead to root rot and yellow leaves of water hyacinth. Fertilization should be carried out according to the growth state of water hyacinth. Fertilization should be carried out every other month during the vigorous growth period of water hyacinth, but fertilization should be stopped during the dormancy period of water hyacinth to avoid burning the roots of plants.
