What is the structure of human teeth?
The normal dentition of healthy adults contains 32 permanent teeth, which are divided into four areas: upper, lower, left and right. According to the shape and function of teeth, they are divided into incisors, bicuspids (premolars) and molars. The left and right teeth with the same name have the same anatomical shape. Tooth body includes three kinds of calcified hard tissues: enamel, dentin and cementum, and pulp cavity containing pulp soft tissue. Each tooth consists of three parts: crown, neck and root.
