Renmin University of China, referred to as Renmin University, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is directly managed by the central government at the deputy ministerial level. It was established by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government. It is among the first batch of double first-class (Category A) universities in the country. The 211 Project and the 985 Project are members of the World University Alliance, the International Applied Science and Technology Development Collaboration Network, the Asia-Pacific International Education Association, and the Beijing-Hong Kong University Alliance.
