Wall leveling during decoration is an indispensable construction link for wall decoration. If the leveling is not done well, the subsequent work will not be carried out. In this issue, I will tell you how to do wall leveling and indoor wall leveling. step.

1. How to level the wall

Generally, when the flatness of the wall is greater than 5 mm, the wall must be leveled. Nowadays, whether the wall is painted with latex paint or pasted with wallpaper, wall covering, diatom mud, etc., the wall must be leveled. The wall is now basically made of finished putty powder. The specific steps are:

1. Remove the original paint and putty first.

2. Apply the finished wall solid with a full roller, using colored paint to prevent missed brushing. The key points of construction should be according to the construction instructions of each brand. If you need to add water, you must add water. The thicker the better.

3. Use plaster to level the yin and yang corners of PVC. Use plaster to level the baseboards and wardrobe corners. If the budget is sufficient, you can consider leveling the entire wall with plaster. The top is basically leveled with plaster (using a two-meter level), and the thickness should not exceed 2 cm.

4. In the later stage, it is basically smoothed with putty powder twice. The main thing to pay attention to is to scrape it several times.

5. When grinding, use a 200-watt light bulb and a grinder.

6. The construction site should use protective film to protect the finished product and clean up the dust.

2. Steps for indoor wall leveling

1. Clean the wall

Clean the peeling and cracks on the wall, first remove the dust on the base layer Sweep it away, use a wire brush and a chisel to clean it, and remove the mortar skin and ash layer.

2. Apply putty all over

Cement plastered walls are equipped with primer, which can not only reduce the project budget, but also improve the quality of the project construction. Usually, a steel scraper or spatula is used to scrape according to the basic method. The frequency of scraping should not be too many, usually twice. If you encounter a wall that has returned to alkali, you can first use alkali sealing water to seal it. After the alkali sealing water dries, use alkali-resistant putty powder as a base material, and then follow the normal process.

3. The second coat of putty

After the wall is completely dry, you can apply the second coat of putty to deepen and smooth it. However, the second putty mixture should not be too thin. It is necessary to ensure that the water after the second putty is scraped is absorbed by the first putty as soon as possible. Calendering can only be carried out after the moisture on the wall is reduced to a certain level.

4. Polish the wall

After leveling, polishing work must be carried out. Usually, 2-3 days after applying the second coat of putty powder, you can use sandpaper to polish the wall or ceiling. After the first coat of polish is successful, you need to apply two more coats of emulsion glue. After painting the white glue, the room should not be ventilated and allow the white glue to dry naturally. Do not forcefully blow dry it. Forced drying will cause small gaps to form on the surface of the wall.

5. Detail processing

There are usually relatively large gaps left in the connection parts of door and window frames and walls. Wood, metal and other materials are usually used in these places, and walls The body is generally made of cement, and the thermal expansion and contraction coefficients of different materials are also different. Be careful not to cause cracks in the joint parts.
