What are the key points of maintenance and management of cyclamen?
Cyclamen alias: rabbit flower, rabbit ear flower, Pin Guan, radish begonia.

Family and genus: Mediterranean region. Widely planted in various temperate regions.

Primula plants

Soil:

Rich sandy loam with more humus is mixed with permeable peat, clay (10%) and perlite, and a proper amount of calcium fertilizer is added to the matrix. Change the soil in the basin every year. The ratio of organic fertilizer in the substrate for the first pot change is 3∶ 10, and that for the second pot change is 4 ∶ 10. Appropriate granular phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer should also be added to the substrate to ensure that the plants have fixed nutrients during pregnancy, flowering and fruiting.

Fertilization:

Love fertilizer, topdressing 2% every spring and autumn. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate once each. Avoid applying high nitrogen fertilizer. The demand for phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in bud stage is higher than usual, and 300 ~ 500 times of liquid potassium dihydrogen phosphate fertilizer should be sprayed on leaves 2 ~ 3 times a month; Nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied at flowering stage, otherwise the branches and leaves will grow white and the flowering period will be shortened.

Humidity: I like humidity and am afraid of waterlogging. I usually water the soil once a day or two to make it moist. I didn't want to water the basin until it was dry. It is also necessary to avoid over-drying the pot soil (causing root hair damage and wilting of the upper part of the plant); Prevent bulbs from drying up or sprouting and flowering too late. The water temperature should be close to room temperature. After beginning of autumn, when the temperature is around 25℃, a small amount of water is started to keep the basin soil moist. But not too wet to avoid decay.

Temperature:

Suitable for growing at 20℃ during the day and 10℃ at night; The temperature at seedling stage is slightly lower. The temperature of flower bud differentiation and pedicel elongation is slightly lower, which is beneficial to flowering. If the temperature is too high, it will go into hibernation.

Lighting:

I like sunshine, but I should avoid direct sunlight. Prolonging light time can promote early flowering; Give plenty of sunshine in bud stage and place it in a sunny place indoors for maintenance.

Plastic decoration:

When the bulb is exposed to the soil surface 1/3, the yellow leaves are removed. If the leaves are too dense, they can be thinned properly to concentrate nutrition and bloom more.

Copy:

Generally, you don't need to reproduce yourself. After the dormancy period every year, change pots and soil once after new buds grow.

Pest control:

When picking leaves or residual flowers, in order to prevent soft rot infection, carbendazim 1000 times solution can be sprayed once.
