Steel fire-proof security door is just a name classified by function. There is no specific standard for this kind of door in the national standard, but since there is the word "security door", the relevant provisions in GB 17565/ 1998 "General Technical Provisions for Anti-theft" can be applied, and the security door must have four functions of anti-theft, heat preservation, sound insulation and fire resistance (please note that fire resistance is not fire prevention.

Identification of fire resistance function

Check whether the opening of the door leaf (doorbell hole, cat's eye hole, lock part) is filled with fireproof rock wool, which is light yellow and similar to cotton silk, and it will sting and itch when touched by hand. If so, it shows that it basically has fire prevention function; If the filler is kraft paper or the like, it has no fireproof function.

Install hardware

Generally, hardware will not be installed before the security door is completed, for fear of unnecessary losses after it is lost. However, if the property has been taken over, hardware such as doorbell and cat's eye should be installed for the owner. This problem should be solved by property management.
