Evaluation of Bi Shumin

Everyone’s first impression of Bi Shumin should be from learning about her in school textbooks. I remember that the first time I read Bi Shumin was an article in the textbook called "My Five Things".

I felt great when I saw this very short text in Chinese class. I felt that the article was easy to understand and the truth was easy to understand. There were still one or two sentences that I could recite. , introducing it into the composition can also help you get a high score.

Then, when I was a freshman in high school, I bought several books of her prose.

The first and second books are probably very good, such as "No Grass Is Shameful", "Seven Colors of Happiness", etc. The names are very silly, but the writing is not particularly bad. , the kind of writing that reads very peacefully, I feel that her writing style can touch people's hearts, but there is no room for multiple interpretations, because the theme of each article is very obvious and fixed, and the positive energy conveyed is also clear.

Later, I read several of her novels, including "The Red Prescription", "Exquisite Blood", "Save the Breast" and "Flower Surgery". Personally, I feel that the themes discussed in these novels are all very profound, but unfortunately, only "Red Prescription" shocked me more deeply and made my fear of drugs always clear, while the other three, except "Rescue" The story of "Breast" is slightly stronger, and the theme is somewhat interesting. It can almost be regarded as a relatively failed novel. She can't escape the rambling and fragmented narrative of the prose. The storytelling is very poor (including "Red Prescription" also has this problem). The theme is grand but the performance is empty. These are the shortcomings of her lack of training as a psychological counselor turned writer. However, we can clearly feel her concerns and discussions about the hot topics at the time, and her feelings can be felt in conveying the central idea. So personally, although her novel is not good to read, the central idea is worth understanding. If there is an outstanding movie adaptation, you can watch it.

Recommended prose:

The most recommended prose is "Tibet, Faced with Ice for Ten Years" (experience of practicing medicine in Tibet, interesting life, less chicken soup, more brisk style) " May you embrace the world sincerely" (Other prose is chicken soup, just read one to feel the atmosphere and get started)

The novel strongly recommends "Red Prescription".

Her works are the introduction to literature for many people. It is a good choice to get started, but once you get started, you must quickly jump out of her framework. If you only stay at this stage, it will be very superficial; But without her at this stage, no one would be interested in getting in touch with real literature.

Although chicken soup is good, don’t be greedy.
