Which province is Hexi?
Hexi is not a province. Hexi is the name of an ancient region. It refers to the west of the Yellow River, with the Qinling Huaihe River as the north and south, and the Yellow River as the center, which is divided into two directions: southeast and northwest. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was west of the south section of the Yellow River, and now it is at the junction of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces. During the Han and Tang dynasties, it mostly refers to the west of the Yellow River in Gansu and Qinghai provinces.

Hexi in modern times refers to the southeast of jinchang center and the west bank of Haihe River. Hexi Corridor is rich in history and culture. After thousands of years of trade, China has closer ties with neighboring countries. Hexi Corridor is sandwiched between Qilian Mountain and Helishan Mountain. It is long, narrow and straight, shaped like a corridor. Because it is located to the west of the Yellow River, it is called "Hexi Corridor".
