Lugu Lake is located in the mountainous area between ninglang county, Yunnan and Yanyuan County, Sichuan, 69 kilometers away from Ninglang County. The lake covers an area of 52 square kilometers, with an average water depth of 45 meters and the deepest point of 93 meters. The lake is clear and the maximum visibility is12m. The lake flows eastward to Yalong River and Jinsha River, belonging to the Yangtze River system.
