The best time for bougainvillea to change pots is spring and autumn. The method is to prepare the replacement soil and flowerpot before changing the flowerpot, then take it out of the old flowerpot and clean the soil at the root. Then trim its root system, just cut off the old fibrous roots and dead roots directly, and finally it can be served.
To put bougainvillea into a pot, first spread a layer of soil in the pot, then put the plants in, fill in the remaining soil and fix them, and then water them for the second time. Pay attention to the temperature when changing pots. As long as it is within the temperature range suitable for bougainvillea growth, that is, between 16 and 32 degrees Celsius.
Bougainvillea is very adaptable. There is no dormancy period in the south, but when the temperature in the north is low, winter will stagnate, that is, when the "dormancy period" we often say is lower than 10 degrees Celsius, hibernation will begin.
Phyllanthus
Bougainvillea is a woody vine shrub of Mirabilis, which has high ornamental value. Because of its leaf shape, it is called bougainvillea. Rhododendron originated in Brazil in South America and was only cultivated in Europe in the 1930s. Rhododendron has curved thorns on its stem, dense villi, whole leaves, alternate leaves, wide oval or elliptic lanceolate, and long flowering period.
The flower is located in a large and colorful wrapping leaf (bud). Flowers are small, white, yellow or yellow-green, and three flowers are clustered. The wrapped leaves are its main decorative part. Native to South America, Brazil, Peru and Argentina.
