Oblique pleats at the front shoulder and neck (also called splayed pleats) and the shoulder line running backwards are common problems in the shoulders of suits (Figure 1). Some friends think that the width of the back collar is too narrow and the shoulder slope is wrong. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the clothes are not three-dimensional or improperly handled. There are only two pieces of clothing shoulders, but the curved surface of human shoulders (above the bust) is complex. If these two pieces of clothing (plane) conform to the shoulder shape (curved surface), it is necessary to carry out three-dimensional plastic treatment on the clothing. Only after the garment piece is correctly shaped can the problem of oblique pleating at the neck side be completely solved.
