1. Chen Yinke

Chen Yinke (July 3, 1890 - October 7, 1969), courtesy name Heshou, was born in Xiushui, Jiangxi. A rare figure in modern China who combines historians, classical literature researchers, linguists, and poets. Together with Ye Qisun, Pan Guangdan, and Mei Yiqi, he is listed as the four major philosophers in the century-old history of Tsinghua University. Together with Lu Si Mian, Chen Yuan, and Qian Mu are collectively known as the "Four Great Masters of Predecessor Historiography".

He has taught at Tsinghua University, Southwest Associated University, University of Hong Kong, Guangxi University, Yenching University, Sun Yat-sen University, etc.

2. Chen Jingrun

Chen Jingrun (May 22, 1933 - March 19, 1996), male, Han nationality, independent person, native of Fuzhou, Fujian, contemporary mathematician.

He studied in the Department of Mathematics of Xiamen University from 1949 to 1953. In September 1953, he was assigned to teach at Beijing No. 4 Middle School. In February 1955, he was recommended by Mr. Wang Yanan, the president of Xiamen University at the time, and returned to his alma mater, Xiamen University, as a teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics. In October 1957, due to the appreciation of Professor Hua Luogeng, Chen Jingrun was transferred to the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In 1973, he published a detailed proof of (1+2), which is recognized as a major contribution to the study of Goldbach's conjecture. In March 1981, he was elected as a member (academician) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He once served as a member of the Mathematics Subject Group of the National Science and Technology Commission and a former researcher of the Institute of Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

3. Shiing Shen Chern

Shiing Shen Chern, born on October 28, 1911 in Xiushui County, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, is a Chinese-American mathematics master and the greatest geometer of the 20th century. One of them, he taught for a long time at the University of California, Berkeley (since 1960) and the University of Chicago (1949-1960), and established the National Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) in Berkeley.

In order to commemorate Chern’s outstanding contributions, the International Mathematical Union (IMU) also specially established the “Chern Medal” as the highest-level lifetime achievement award in the international mathematics community.

4. Chen Fangyun

Chen Fangyun (1916.4.3-2000.4.29), a native of Huangyan, Taizhou, Zhejiang, is a radio electronics scientist and one of the founders of China's satellite measurement and control technology. Winner of the "Two Bombs and One Satellite Meritorious Service Medal", academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of the University of Science and Technology of China and the National University of Defense Technology.

Chen Fangyun has long been engaged in the scientific research and development of radio electronics and electronic and space system engineering. In 1985, he won the special prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and in 1988, he won the first prize of the National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award.

5. Danny Chan
