1, pruning
It grows rapidly in snow, so it needs frequent pruning by gardeners to keep its appearance. Before the fallen leaves germinate every spring, we should prune continuously in the snow, cut off short and long branches, overgrown branches, sparse over-dense twigs and cut off pests and diseases. During the growing period, we should continue to pick the heart, wipe the bud and remove the branches. The specific operation is introduced in How to Prune Six in Snow, so I won't say much here.
Step 2 turn the washbasin over
In order to ensure adequate nutrition in the snow, it is necessary to turn the pot every 1-2 years, usually in February-March in spring. Remove all the old soil and replace it with clean cultivated soil: loose, fat, slightly acidic and highly permeable soil. When turning the pot, the roots can be trimmed continuously to form hanging roots and improve the ornamental value.
3, pest control
There are few pests and diseases in snow bonsai, but if neglected in the cultivation process, aphids, snails and root rot will also appear, which will affect the plant development and eventually lead to a decline in ornamental value. How to do it specifically, there is a specific introduction to pest control in "Give charcoal in the snow", so I won't say much here.
Six taboos in snowflake bonsai;
1. Avoid insufficient light.
Once there is a lack of light, the six in the snow will grow loosely and become less elegant on the surface. In addition, if you want to keep it outdoors and move it indoors, you should gradually change the situation at this time. Don't keep it indoors at once. Make sure that the position you want to put it indoors can withstand the light.
Step 2 avoid watering too much
If potted flowers are watered too much, water will fill the gaps in the soil and the air in the soil will be replaced by water. At this time, it is difficult for outside air to enter the soil, which leads to the lack of oxygen in the soil. Flowers are as alive as people. Its roots also need to breathe air, so at this time, the flower roots have difficulty breathing or are blocked from breathing, so the physiological function of the flower will be reduced and it is easy to get sick.
