2. According to the regulations, you can apply for a new passport under the following circumstances:

(1) Passport visa page is about to run out;

(2) The passport is valid for less than six months, or it is valid for more than six months, but there are materials to prove that the validity period does not meet the requirements of the destination country;

(3) The name, gender, ID number, place of birth and date of birth on the household registration book have changed or the applicant's appearance has changed significantly;

(4) Other circumstances identified by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security.
