How does the rope throwing mower work?
The cutter of rope-throwing mower is nylon rope or steel wire rope, and the most common one is monofilament nylon rope. Nylon ropes are coiled on the turntable, mostly two, and extend for a certain length. When the turntable rotates at high speed, the nylon rope is driven to rotate together, and the rope rotating at high speed rotates together with grass.

Cut off the grass plant at the moment of contact (Figure 4-38). When the nylon rope is worn and broken, it can be continuously released from the turntable. Two nylon ropes should have the same extension length and can be trimmed with scissors. When cutting, the noose has the characteristic of avoiding. When encountering great resistance, the noose bends without cutting grass plants, which can reduce the damage to green trees on the lawn, but at the same time, it also has the disadvantage of not cutting weed stems with large root diameter and small miscellaneous seedlings. Therefore, most rope-throwing mowers are used together with brush cutters to form multifunctional brush cutters.

In addition to nylon rope cutters, rope-throwing lawn mowers can also be equipped with multi-blade cutters and circular saws (Figure 4-39), such as two knives, three knives, four knives and eight knives. After the nylon rope cutter is installed, it can be used for lawn mowing, pruning and weeding in courtyards, street gardens and small green spaces between street trees. Metal blades with 2 ~ 4 teeth can be used to cut thick weeds and sparse shrubs. When the multi-tooth metal blade or circular saw blade is installed, dense shrubs can be cut, trees trimmed and shaped on the roadside, embankment and hillside in the wild.
