The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University has a biological scaffold. The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine was established in 1869. It is the birthplace of western medicine in Zhejiang Province, the first third-class first-class hospital in China, the first batch of national project units to improve the diagnosis and treatment ability of difficult diseases, the first batch of national regional medical center construction units (cardiovascular disease, trauma, orthopedics (cultivation) and neurological disease (cultivation)), and the first batch of national emergency medical rescue bases. For four consecutive years, it ranked in the top ten in the performance appraisal of tertiary public hospitals in China and ranked in the top 50 in the global natural index. As the designated medical security unit and resident unit of G20 Hangzhou Summit, it is one of the preferred training bases in China for many overseas doctors and the winner of China Quality Award, the highest honor in the field of quality in China.
