Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a "5+3" integrated Chinese medicine professional training institution approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, and a key university in Hebei Province. It is also a pilot university for the reform of the education and training plan for outstanding doctors (Chinese medicine) in the Ministry of Education.
The school's predecessor was Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was established in 1956. 1958 was named Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 1962 merged with Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Hebei Province. From 65438 to 0969, Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine moved to Shijiazhuang and merged with Hebei Medical College to form Hebei New Medical University.

The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 283 million yuan; There are 12 teaching institutions and 26 undergraduate majors.
