Zhoushan Putuo District People's Hospital, formerly known as Public Rescue Hospital, was built in 19 17. It is the earliest public hospital in Zhoushan. After nearly 90 years of development and construction, the scale of the hospital has grown from small to large, from weak to strong, and now it has become a multi-disciplinary and multi-category comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, first aid, scientific research, teaching, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. It is also a general hospital in Zhoushan. 1988 was awarded the title of provincial civilized hospital by the provincial health department, and passed the evaluation of the provincial health department in 2005, becoming a secondary general hospital and ranking among the top 100 hospitals in the province.
