Snowflake pear tree is strong and dry, with small vertical branching angle of young branches and gradually expanding backbone branches with the growth of tree age. In the ability to form branches, long branches and short branches can produce 2 ~ 3 long branches, and medium and short branches are easy to form flowers. Young trees bear fruit in 3 ~ 5 years, mainly short branches, but their life span is short. Medium-long fruit branches and axillary buds have strong fruiting ability. With few fruiting branches, it is not easy to form short fruiting branches and continuous fruiting, and the fruiting parts often move out quickly. The germination ability of latent buds is weak, and the middle and lower parts of backbone branches are easy to be exposed without branches.
In shaping and pruning, besides the cutting method of Pak Lei system mentioned above, we can also refer to the cutting method of crisp pear. Young trees and "young trees" should make full use of medium and long fruit branches and axillary buds. Trees should retract and renew old and weak branches in time, promote the germination of latent buds in the middle and lower parts of branches, pay attention to the transformation and utilization of long branches, and prevent baldness. The sparse short fruit branches should be combined with cultivation and cut as little as possible, so as to concentrate nutrition and strengthen the remaining fruit branches, improve their fruit quality and prolong their life.
