Can medical insurance for trifocal intraocular lens be reimbursed?
Legal analysis: no reimbursement, high-end crystals and more advanced technology are not covered by medical insurance. Cataract surgery basically includes two items, operation fee and intraocular lens fee. Conventional phacoemulsification and intraocular lens, such as monofocal intraocular lens or ordinary aspherical intraocular lens, can be reimbursed by medical insurance. A monofocal intraocular lens provides only one focus. Patients need to choose far focus or near focus, and then wear reading glasses or myopia glasses after operation.
