It is mostly caused by bad habits such as nose digging and hair pulling, and can also be caused by chronic nasal vestibulitis.
Small boils appear inside or outside the nose, causing local fever, redness and pain, and pus heads appear at the top of the boils when they mature. At the same time, lips and cheeks will be red and swollen and general discomfort. Severe cases can cause cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis, and the clinical manifestations are high fever, chills, severe headache, edema of eyelid and conjunctiva, exophthalmos fixation and even blindness. If not treated in time, it may involve the opposite side, and in severe cases, it may endanger life or leave eye and brain sequelae.
