How many tons is a cubic meter of asphalt concrete?

A cubic meter of asphalt concrete is about 3 tons, which can be divided into open graded, semi-open graded and dense graded according to the density of the mixture. The open graded mixture is also called asphalt macadam. Dense graded macadam mixture has long service life and high strength, and is the main material for building high-grade asphalt pavement, which is widely used.

How to construct asphalt concrete

A, subgrade construction

First of all, clean up the roots and garbage of the pavement base. When it is close to the design elevation, properly reserve the virtual height and level it to ensure that it reaches the design elevation after compaction. Then check the width of both sides of the road according to the center line of the road to prevent deviation.

Second, the cement stabilized macadam base construction

1. Material preparation: Cement stabilized macadam base materials are mixed by centralized on-site mixing method, and the ratio is strictly controlled. When transported to the construction site by dump truck, the time on the way cannot exceed the initial setting time.

2. Shoulder cultivation: restore the road centerline and sideline, cultivate the shoulder height of 30cm, width of 150cm, and wet the base with water.

3. Setting-out: Calculate the amount of water-stable materials used by transport vehicles on the road surface, and divide the road surface by spreading lime lines, so that the next leveling work can be carried out after water-stable unloading.

4. Shaping and rolling: when rolling, the bulldozer is used for rough leveling, and then the grader is used for fine leveling, and the virtual paving coefficient is 1cm. Follow the principle of "first two sides, then the middle, first static pressure, then vibration". During the rolling process, water stability, top surface elevation, vertical and horizontal slope of pavement and other items should be detected at any time to ensure that the degree of compaction reaches the required value within the specified deviation range.

5. Curing: After the cement stabilized macadam base is rolled, it is necessary to do a good job of curing to ensure that the surface layer is moist, and the curing period shall not be less than 7 days.

6. Quality requirements: the surface is solid and flat, and the caulking material cannot float on the surface to form a layer. After the roller is rolled on the ground, the depth of wheel track should not be greater than 5 mm.
