Nursing points of skin grafting area of burn patients
Some points for attention in skin grafting:

(1) preoperative preparation:

Skin preparation was carried out in the donor area according to the routine before operation, and the child did not need to shave. If the skin area is a granulation wound, the dressing should be changed frequently a few days before the operation, and the antibiotic solution should be wet applied to reduce pus. There should be no hemolytic streptococcus in the wound. Sufficient blood should be prepared for escharectomy in large area burns.

(2) Postoperative care:

The limb of skin graft should be braked to prevent skin graft displacement from affecting survival and raising the affected limb. Keep the dressing clean and dry. Tell the patient not to scratch the wound and the child's hands should be restrained. Always observe the survival of the wound. If there is purulent blood under the skin, it should be cut and drained to avoid squeezing. If the skin graft is necrotic, it should be removed in time.

When your skin is defective and the wound cannot heal by itself, please cooperate with the following matters when the doctor determines that skin grafting is needed:

The day before skin grafting:

1. Operation consent is required.

2. Clean the whole body and prepare to take the skin and clean it with soap or disinfectant. The skin area will be shaved first if necessary.

3. In the case of general or semi-anesthesia, enema is needed at 9: 00 pm.

4. Do not drink water after 12 in the evening [people under local anesthesia can eat according to the doctor's advice].

5. Always practice the methods of deep breathing and coughing taught by nurses to prevent postoperative pulmonary complications.

Skin grafting day:

1. Continue to fast and drink water [except those who are locally anesthetized according to the doctor's advice].

2. Remove body accessories, removable dentures, artificial eyes, dentures, etc.

3. Take off your underwear, put on your surgical gown and wait for the notice from the operating room.

4. Drop it first if necessary.

Please empty your bladder when the operating room staff comes to pick you up.

After skin grafting:

1. There may be indwelling venous catheter, catheter and wound drainage tube after operation. Please pay attention to keep good fixation and pipeline unobstructed.

2. If the wound is painful or uncomfortable, please inform the medical staff at any time.

3. The affected limb can be raised with a pillow to avoid the compression of the skin graft and maintain a proper fixing and supporting position.

4. The patch area may be fixed with plaster. Please don't remove it at will and restrict activities.

5. If the skin plaque area is in the lower limbs, be sure to stay in bed and don't get out of bed at will. You can only get out of bed gradually with the permission of the doctor.

6. If the skin plaque area is on the buttocks, you can lie prone and pay attention to turning over.

7. Practice according to the professor's method of deep breathing and coughing, and use steam inhalation to help expectoration if necessary.

8. Nutritional supplement: Eat more high-calorie and high-protein diets, such as fish, meat and eggs.

9. Smoking and drinking (including secondhand smoke) are absolutely forbidden.

10. Generally, the skin transplanted from normal wounds will survive after one week, but it still needs to be fixed with elastic gauze or plaster, and the activity should be restricted for two to three weeks to ensure the healing of the skin graft.

1 1. For patients with chronic diseases or the elderly, the wound heals slowly and needs a long time of fixation.

12. After the skin graft wound is healed, the skin is dry, and moisturizing oil can be applied.

13. The skin substitute dressing covered in the skin collection area will slowly fall off by itself after drying, and it is not allowed to tear it off by itself to avoid damaging the skin.

14. If you find abnormal swelling, pain and bleeding in the skin harvesting area or skin repair area, please inform the medical staff immediately.

15. If in doubt, please consult the medical staff at any time.
