1. Surgical treatment:
Although the causes, clinical manifestations and surgical methods are different, they can be summarized into six basic surgical methods: LefortI osteotomy of maxilla; Mandibular branch osteotomy; Mandibular osteotomy; Mandibular osteotomy; Local bone grafting; Soft tissue filling. Choose different surgical methods according to different symptoms and deformities. LefortI osteotomy of maxilla rotates or moves in blocks to correct plane deviation of maxilla and secondary deformity of maxilla; Sagittal splitting of mandibular ramus or vertical osteotomy forward, backward and rotate to correct the deviation of mandible and the deviation of the central line of incisors; Chin plastic surgery is used to correct chin deviation; Bone grafting or prosthesis implantation to meet the needs of symmetry; Soft tissue filling to correct soft tissue dysplasia.
2. Orthodontic treatment of some jaw deformities assisted by surgery;
Although surgery can correct abnormal jaw position and improve occlusal relationship, in order to achieve satisfactory occlusal reconstruction, orthodontic treatment (that is, rearranging teeth) must be carried out before and after surgery in stomatology. The main purpose of preoperative orthodontics is to align dentition before operation and adjust the relationship between maxillary and mandibular dental arches, which is beneficial to realize mandibular movement during operation, thus laying a good foundation for surgical orthodontics. The main purpose of postoperative orthodontics is to further improve the occlusal relationship, achieve tooth balance, stabilize the surgical effect and prevent recurrence.
Partial jaw plasty includes facial contour correction, buccal contour correction, maxillary contour correction, mandibular contour correction, chin contour correction and forehead contour correction.
