In the cultural history of China for thousands of years, there are countless precious cultural relics, which are not only the inheritance of history, but also the symbol of China culture, such as the Four Sheep Statues and Terracotta Warriors. , are the cultural treasures of our country. However, these cultural relics have become extremely fragile due to the weather and frost, and need the careful protection of experts, otherwise they may be destroyed if they are not careful.
Such a thing did happen. For example, Roar of Zhenhai is an example. The Millennium did not fall, but it was destroyed by the clever protection of experts.
It's so thick. It's located in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, China. According to experts' research, it was born in the late Zhou Dynasty and has a history of thousands of years. There are many theories about its origin. Some people think that it was built for Cangzhou by Zhou Shizong in order to crusade against the Khitan.
Some people think that it is a god beast specially built by local people to suppress the tsunami. Cangzhou is also called "Lion City" because of the roar of this town.
In fact, there is a legend about Zhenhai roar. It is said that in ancient times, Cangzhou was a rich and beautiful city. The local people work hard, live and work in peace and contentment, and live a happy life. But one autumn harvest season, people were working in the fields, and the sky suddenly darkened, with dark clouds gathering and a strange black wind blowing.
This black wind swept the waves and surged towards Cangzhou, instantly engulfing ships, houses and crops, causing countless casualties.
When people saw this scene, they rushed to the mountain. When they climbed to a safe place, they looked to the sea and found a demon dragon in the sea, which was tumbling up and down. The black wind and huge waves are caused by the demon dragon.
Cangzhou people were tortured by this demon dragon and didn't know what to do. Just then, there was a roar from the horizon, and a golden lion descended from the sky and came straight for the demon dragon. The two men soon fought. Later, the lion successfully killed the demon dragon and the people were saved.
Only then did the people know that the lion was the mount of Manjusri Bodhisattva, specially to save the people. The people are grateful to Dade, and at the same time, in order to suppress the demon dragon, a famous craftsman was asked to build an iron lion with an iron structure, named "Zhenhai Roar".
So what does this Zhenhai roar look like? It is 6.264 meters long, 5.74 meters high, 2.98 1 meter wide and weighs 32 tons. The whole lion looks very huge, and it is the most complete and oldest iron lion in China.
The lion's body faces south, but its head faces southwest. It stands upright with its head held high and its eyes fixed on the front, looking dignified. Even if you stand by, you can feel the unparalleled momentum.
The word "Lion King" is cast under the lion's head and neck, while the lotus throne is carved on the back. According to historical records, this lion does have many details related to Manjusri Bodhisattva in the temple. For example, the lotus throne belongs to Manjusri Bodhisattva, and judging from the manner of the lion, it is waiting for the arrival of Manjusri Bodhisattva.
The shape of the lion has been surprisingly delicate. Unexpectedly, experts later found the Diamond Sutra in the lion's stomach. Unfortunately, due to the age, the lion's surface has been eroded by wind and frost, and many words have become illegible.
There is no doubt that this iron lion is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancients and the precious wealth of our country. After thousands of years, it is even more precious. But I didn't expect that such a precious iron lion was almost destroyed by the self-righteous protection of experts.
It was in the19th century, when people were still in awe of this lion, and no one dared to touch it at will. But unexpectedly, in 1803, a strong wind blew in Cangzhou, which blew down the iron lion that will last for thousands of years.
Because the iron lion was so heavy that no one could help it, people had to let it fall to the ground. It took more than 90 years, and it was not until 1893 that it was lifted up. However, the iron lion was seriously corroded because it fell to the ground for a long time and contacted soil and water.
But even so, the iron lion is still majestic and stands tall in Cangzhou City. After the founding of New China, Cangzhou government began to pay attention to the protection of the iron lion, so it asked Soviet experts how to protect the iron lion.
Soviet experts believe that rain will accelerate the corrosion of the iron lion, so it is best to build a pavilion for the iron lion to shelter it from the wind and rain. But I didn't expect this practice to accelerate the corrosion of the iron lion, because the pavilion formed a humid and warm environment, so the government dismantled the pavilion again. In order to fix the iron lion, they also injected cement into its leg and installed steel pipe support for it. I didn't expect this to make the iron lion more seriously damaged.
Since the 1950s, experts have carried out five repairs on the iron lion, but each repair aggravated its damage. Now, it will be repaired and become a new iron lion. Although the new lion is mighty, it has lost the charm of the old lion after years of precipitation.
