Optical fiber sensor is a kind of sensor that converts the state of the measured object into measurable optical signal. The working principle of the optical fiber sensor is to send the light beam incident from the light source to the modulator through the optical fiber, and interact with the measured parameters in the modulator, which will change the optical properties of light, such as light intensity, wavelength, frequency, phase and polarization state, and become a modulated light signal, and then send it to the photoelectric device through the optical fiber, and obtain the measured parameters through the demodulator. In the whole process, the light beam is introduced through the optical fiber and emitted after passing through the modulator. The function of optical fiber is firstly to transmit light beam, and secondly to act as an optical modulator.
